Daniel Svensson

For Daniel Svensson, being well-dressed is essential, whether he's on screen as a handball expert on TV2 or networking in his job in the real estate industry. With his ambassadorship, he's at the forefront of helping other men be well-dressed and at the same time spend more wisely.

Presentable attire is essential

“There is no doubt that dressing is extremely important to me when I am at work. Whether it is in my work as a handball expert on TV2 or in my job in the real estate industry, it is crucial to look presentable. I hate being underdressed and I want to look decent. I simply perform better when I feel comfortable in the clothes I am wearing.

My style can vary. I can relax in a t-shirt or a cardigan, but I love to wear a shirt and blazer - not necessarily a suit - I like to mix it up a bit so it looks different. And I love a good loafer that is comfortable to walk around in.

The blazer is important to me. Either with a t-shirt underneath for a casual look or with a shirt if it's a little more dressy. But a definite must-have for me are loafers. I especially enjoy wearing them without socks. "

My journey into the secondhand universe begins here

“My relationship with secondhand is actually a little bit shameful. The shame lies in the fact that I haven't looked into it before. I think the idea of a circular economy is beautiful; that we should make things last a little longer. I've had a lot of clothes over time and spent a lot of money on clothes and it hasn't passed on to many others, so I want to make an effort for that. That's also why the match with Grade A Copenhagen is so strong.

I have begun the journey of buying secondhand clothes for my son, but I have a clear ambition to buy much more secondhand and also let my clothes get a new life elsewhere.

When it comes to quality clothing, the difference between “new” and secondhand is so small that I think it’s a matter of habit. And then it’s clear that there are also some prejudices that secondhand is something that is bought in a dingy back room and is also moth-infested. Therefore, it is crucial that it is easily accessible, looks nice and is presented in the right way.”

Secondhand compatible with my values

“I have chosen to become an ambassador for Grade A Copenhagen, partly because we have a big societal problem with clothing production and the resulting CO2 emissions, which is why we need a concept that can make clothes last longer, and in addition, I know how much great clothes I have hanging around that I no longer use and that deserve a new owner - there must be many other people who can nod in recognition of that. The good match for me is of course also that even now, when Grade A Copenhagen has only existed for a year, there is so much great stuff - I can only imagine how much it can develop into.

Another thing that also makes Grade A Copenhagen a good match for me is that it is compatible with my values. I don't do many partnerships and basically don't use my Instagram profile or my social media in general for my own gain. I simply don't think my followers should be presented with that. BUT right here I just see so many things that go well together. I love being well-dressed while hopefully being able to take a lot of other men in my hands who want to pass on their clothes or buy something secondhand.”
